最近频率超高这道考试真题应该怎样迅速破题?
Do you think consumers should avoid over-packaged products or is it the responsibility of producers?
Unsurprisingly, a by-product of burgeoning global economy is consumerism. Hence, whether consumers are supposed to refrain from purchasing over-packaged products or manufacturers are accountable for over-packaging has been an intense controversy. I personally believe both of them have an indispensable role to play.
For consumers, the first the foremost reason is that they equate products’ packaging with their quality. This is because some consumers with immense purchasing power have a tendency to buy commodities with fancy wrappings, such as luxurious casing or packaging using expensive materials, in order to flaunt their personal wealth or social status. Not only does it give rise to consumer society, but also fancy packaging inevitably acts as environmental contamination as it is usually disposable and barely recyclable.
For producers, by designing their goods with alluring packaging, they plan to maintain their market share. That is to say, manufacturers generally employ a variety of marketing strategies, for example, over-packaging for the purpose of ensuring the bulk sale of their products and improving the profitability. Nonetheless, this absolutely does not justify over-packaging because there exist a large number of products that could have been economically wrapped. Besides, it is products’ quality that producers should put emphasis on instead of unnecessary and costly packaging as an approach to attract consumers.
In conclusion, despite producers’ intention of securing their market share via over-packaging, they are evidently responsible for the formation of undesirable consumerism and environmental pollution. Consumers should also be discouraged from purchasing over-packaged goods.
