The star was bright
when I found it hard to sleep at night.
I wanted to reach the height
which is far out of my sight.
As long as it shines,
my dreams will fall in line.
In those dreams there were signs

They bloomed above my head.

But I remembered I swore
that I will love you for 50 years or more.
“I can never stop doing harm to you
as long as I am staying with you.
Therefore, I will go far far away
to give you at least one comfort day.”

Finally I did it, even for 45 years.
When the 100th National Day came,
I laughed with my eyes filled with tears.
I was a great designer during the past time,
for those lovely fireworks I designed.
And it was my favorite one,
which is called “The National Night”.

Thousands of Chinese people
came to admire the show.
Its beginning was beautiful,
which formed as light and shadow.
When the words “Love China” came out,
everybody screamed out.
But nobody noticed that
there was something else in the “love”.

it was my proud.

“The fireworks were quite cheering up.”
“Is it? Thank you. And be cheered up.”
