Many Valentine’s Days have passed throughout Castle’s five seasons, but we’ve never seen Rick and Kate spend the romantic day together.
This year, not only is our dynamic duo a loving couple, but they’ll be celebrating V-Day together in true Caskett fashion — with a competition!
“Castle and Beckett are talking about what they got each other, and there’s a subtle competition between the two of them,” creator Andrew Marlowe tells TVLine.
And not only that, but Rick is in hot water for not giving Kate a Christmas gift, bringing about some interesting “complications.”
“Let’s just say that some wild hijinks ensue as he tries to deliver her present,” Andrew teases. Color us excited!
However, the whole episode won’t be full of romance. In Season 5, Episode 14: "Reality Star Struck," the two will spend the day investigating a murder on the set of a Real Housewives-esque show called Wall Street Wives instead of canoodling around New York City.
During that episode, Firefly fans will also receive a Valentine’s Day gift of their own when Gina Torres guest-stars as one of the “Wall Street Wives.” And as much as we love Rick, we’re sure his V-Day fumbles will provide plenty of laughs!
