〔摘要〕 1856年9月太平天国领导集团发生内讧0，东王杨秀清被杀，受牵连被杀达二万余人，史称，天京事变。文章通过对清方资料、清人笔记、诸王自述、外国人报道研究分析，相互引证，提出了“天京事变”不发生在9月2日凌晨，而是在9月4日或9月5日，这对正确评价洪秀全、杨秀清有着重要的意义。

Verification of the Date of Tianjing Incident

Abstract:Internal strife took place in September 1865 among the Taiping leadership group.This is known in history as the Tianjing Incident,in which the Estern King Yang Xin-qing and as many as 20,000 people involved were killed.After an analysis and cross-reference of the records by the Qing government,notes by the Qing people,accounts by the Taiping leaders and reports by foreign observers,this paper reaches the conclusion that the Tianjing Incident took place on September 4th or 5th rather than in the small hours of Setember 2nd.This conclusion is of great importance in the correct evaluation of Hong Xiu-qing.

天京事变和杨秀清被杀，都属于太平天国的大事，因为它标志着太平天国由兴盛到衰弱，由团结到分裂，由战略进攻到战略防御的转折点。研究清楚天京事变，对正确评价洪秀全、杨秀清、韦昌辉、石达开、秦日纲等领导人物具有非常重要的意义。
按我国史学界传统的说法，天京事变爆发于1856年9月1日深夜，韦昌辉与秦日纲、陈承瑢乘夜入天京，包围东王府，凌晨杨秀清被杀。其实只要我们在现存史料中仔细分析推敲，就不难发现，天京事变爆发及杨秀清被杀日期，疑点颇多。本文根据清方档案资料、清人笔记、太平天国诸王自述、外国人的有关报道，互为参证，提出不同看法，向大家请教。
