So when it came to peer review, many of our classmates did the job with very casual attitude. So in my personal view, before we edit the papers, we should read more model essays written by our peers and learn more typical and native English expressions. Then we also need some fixed groups. After editting other members' papers, everyone except writer can give a score. Then choosing the best one as the group represent to be read in class. At last, having compared with other groups' papers, the excellent one(or two) can be chosen by teacher as the model essay for the next time.
